
Cristiano Araújo
Cristiano Araújo Melo (born in Goiânia, state of Goiás, Brazil on 24 January 1986) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and musician of Música sertaneja. The singer became famous for singles like "Mente pra mim" (2011), "Você mudou" (2012), "Caso indefinido" (2013) and "Maus bocados" (2013). After his EP Efeitos in 2011 and live album and DVD Ao Vivo em Goiânia in 2012, he released his solo studio album Continua in 2013. He is signed to the well-known Brazilian Som Livre record label.
Beginnings
From early childhood in Goiás, Cristiano Araújo was influenced by sertanejo. Clearly having a talent for singing, and coming from a family where that had four generations of musicians and singers, his João Reis and Zenaide Melo encouraged him to try for an artistic career and bought him a guitar while he was 6-years-old.
