This CD has two rather long performances by a quintet led by Dexter Gordon that also features trumpeter Rolf Ericson, pianist Lars Sjosten, bassist Sture Norin and drummer Per Hulten: a 20-minute version of "Three O'Clock in the Morning" and a 26-minute rendition of Miles Davis's "No Blues." Although not essential, these live radio broadcasts (from an often-overlooked period in the great tenor's career) are enjoyable and worth hearing by straightahead jazz fans.
