"A Ring Ding Christmas Swing" was the first album I made at home. Honestly, it does sound a bit homemade but some of the songs are terrific. People like my comedies.

I'm very pleased with my work on this album. People have said that it's fun: which means I’ve achieved my goal. You may find it interesting to know that the trumpets and strings and woodwinds and vibraphone – are all recorded using a “Roland Guitar Synthesiser”, so from a purely guitar playing viewpoint, this is also quite an unusual album instrumentally. My friend Celia played piano and sang with me on a couple of the tracks
